The
Pukaha restoration project involves long-term extensive
and intensive, pest and weed control. It means reducing
predators to a level where they no longer threaten bird
populations, and preventing colonisation by exotic weeds.
For $25 a year your donation will contribute to the on-the-ground,
hectare-by-hectare pest control work needed to maintain
the 942 hectare Pukaha Mount Bruce Forest. Re-infestation
also means not doing the job just once, but every year
for the foreseeable future.
You can also sponsor more than one hectare, and for more
than one year.
You
will
receive
a
certificate
acknowledging
your
valuable
contribution
and
showing
the
location
of
your
sponsored
hectare.
You
will
also
receive
regular
updates
on
Pukaha
the
restoration
programme.
The
National
Wildlife
Centre
Trust
is
a
registered
charity
so
your
sponsorship
donations
are
tax
deductible.
