Our education and fundraising programme - whack a rat and save a native bird - continues in the third term with two schools contributing a significant amount this week.
North Street School from Feilding visited the centre this week with $100.00 raised by the Middle Team who made and sold yummy Milo drinks and 'slinky' apples to their fellow pupils.
The senior school at Hadlow School enthralled their fellow pupils with inventive games like Splash the Rat, Ratopoly, Trap the Rat and dozens more when the held a fundraiser. The entire school played games all afternoon and raised over $540.00. Plenty of enquiry learning in the research, development and presentation of the games. The Year 7 class showing their Ranger abilities as they researched, designed and drew rat traps.
Specialist team gives the all clear
With mixed feelings we bid the specialist pest control team goodbye. After twelve intense days they have given us the all clear and are heading off.
