Trust
House
Ltd
The
principle
of
Trust
House
supporting
worthy
causes
within
the
communities
where
it
trades
continues
a
tradition
that
dates
back
almost
60
years.
The
origins
of
this
community
owned
business
date
back
to
1947
when
the
Masterton
Licensing
Trust
Act
was
passed
enshrining
community
ownership
of
liquor
facilities
in
the
Masterton
area.
Many
developmental
changes
have
occurred
over
the
years,
especially
relating
to
the
hospitality
trade,
but
the
belief
in
the
concept
of
community
ownership
as
being
advantageous
has
not
diminished.
Whilst
retaining
liquor
as
its
core
business,
Trust
House
has
diversified
extensively
and
this
is
widely
recognised
as
one
of
the
keys
to
its
continued
business
success.
In
the
last
financial
year,
Trust
House
reported
a
$40
million
gross
turn-over.
Profits
generated
from
the
businesses
are
distributed
back
to
the
communities
through
the
Trust
House
Charitable
Trust.
In
the
last
financial
year,
over
$3.5
million
was
approved
as
community
grants.
