We,
the
signatories
of
this
document,
on
behalf
of
the
organisations
we
represent
and
with
the
authority
vested
in
us,
do
hereby
agree
to
work
in
partnership
with
each
other
and
our
community
to
actively
assist
with
and
promote;
the
restoration
of
Pukaha
Mount
Bruce
forest,
the
conservation
of
endangered
species,
and
the
conservation
awareness
and
education
of
the
people
of
Aotearoa.
In
signing
this
memorandum
we
agree
to
respect,
promote
and
assist
each
other
with
achieving
each
organisation's
objectives
in
respect
to
the
conservation-based
activity
at
Pukaha
Mount
Bruce,
namely:
-
The
National
Wildlife
Centre
Trust
represents
the
wider
community
interest,
owns
the
buildings
at
the
National
Wildlife
Centre
and
has
a
mission
to
promote
conservation
education.
-
The
Department
of
Conservation
has
a
mission
to
conserve
New
Zealand's
natural
and
historic
heritage
for
all
to
enjoy
now
and
in
the
future,
and
has
statutory
responsibility
for
management
of
the
National
Wildlife
Centre
reserve
and
the
Pukaha
Mount
Bruce
Scenic
Reserve.
- Rangitaane
o
Wairarapa
has
a
mission
to
re-acquaint
Rangitaane
people
with
the
history
and
ecology
of
Pukaha
Mount
Bruce,
and
to
develop
their
people
through
employment,
training
and
development
of
new
qualifications
in
ecological
tourism
and
indigenous
ecological
tourism.
