  Early Settlers Museum  

Opened in 1979 to coincide with the Eketahuna School Centennial. The museum is situated in the first school that was built in Eketahuna in 1890. There is a good display of memorabilia and photographs depicting the early days of Eketahuna and the district. Fashion parades of period costumes, dating back to the 1870s are a specialty.

A general collection of local history and early colonial artefacts. Class B Historic building. Open Sundays 2pm - 4pm. Entry $2

Middleton Model Railway
Authentic replica of the English Midlands, this railway has the capability to run trains from the 1950's to the 90's. One of the largest layouts in the country it has over 300m of track and more than 220 sets of points. There is also an interactive children's layout on which children can drive the trains. Other changing operating and static displays are on show. Open weekends and holidays from 11am - 4pm, also open at other times by prior arrangement (a minimum charge applies). There is a reduced price for pre-booked groups of 10 or more. Home-made cheese and enamel craft work for sale and friendly farm animals to see. Admission: Adults $5, children $2 or family (one or two adults plus children) $10

Mt Bruce Pioneer Museum

An extensive private collection of restored farm equipment and well displayed antiques. An education into New Zealand’s past. On display Wairarapa’s oldest tractor, horse-drawn grader, stationary engines, telephones, sewing machines, typewriters, tobacco tins, plus thousands more. Hours 9am-4.30pm daily. Come visit us in any weather Location: On State Highway 2, 18km north of Masterton, 10km South of the Mount Bruce National Wildlife Centre.

Mt Bruce Pioneer Museum can be found on State Highway 2, 18km's north of Masterton, 10 km's south of the National Wildlife Centre.

New Pacific Studio
New Pacific Studio is a non-profit international-based organization that offers residencies for artists, writers, and environmentalists in its two 'hermitages' in Vallejo, California and in Mount Bruce, New Zealand. New Pacific Studio is located just north of the National Wildlife centre on State Highway 2.
