Eight elegant, private gardens in and around greater Masterton are generously opening up so we can all have a peep!

From the contemporary elegance of Westwood in Greytown to the park-like grounds of Te Whiti and Waireka - each garden on the tour features beautiful planting, exotic trees and each has fantastic stories to tell. 

The original 94 year old Alfred Buxton plans at Perera in Taratahi will be on show to visitors.  The garden retains many of the orginal features including a 'signature' Buxton pergola.

Construction is well underway on the upgrade to our nocturnal kiwi house and in spite of incredibly wet conditions - the builders are making great progress. 

The upgrade includes major enhancements to the viewing area which will give visitors a stunning view in to the breeding and brooding centres.

This means the KIWI HOUSE IS CLOSED UNTIL SUMMER.

We hope to have everything completed by Christmas. We will keep you up to speed with progress.
