Acclaimed documentary maker to lecture at Pukaha next week

Rod Morris, passionate conservationist, wildlife photographer and filmmaker will return to Pukaha Mount Bruce on Monday 5th July to deliver a memorial lecture on Sir Edmund Hillary.  Rod has been an active conservationist for over forty years.  His words and pictures will be found on over 30 publications.  For the past twenty five years he has been a documentary filmmaker for TVNZ’s Natural History Unit (now under another name).

The lecture, presented by The National Wildlife Trust,  will start at 2.00pm and costs just $20.00.  This charge also covers entrance to the reserve. To reserve your place, please phone us on 06 375 8004.

Popular School Holiday Ranger Programme on in July Holidays

Tom Studholme, known as Captain Rat to most local kids, is pleased to be hosting another Ranger for a Day activity programme, along with his fellow-Rangers.

It costs $15.00 per day and that includes a yummy lunch from our cafe.  You will be hands on in the forest with our Rangers, assisting them with prep and feeding as well as checking out the behind-the-scenes work on the Whack a Rat and Save a Native Bird campaign.

We only have a few dates this time round, so be sure to book in early.  The dates are 5th,7th and 9th July in week one and 12th, 14th, 16th July in week two.  Programme runs from 11am until 3.30pm.  We would love you to join us.  Phone to book on 06 375 8004.
